The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden by Johan Johansson

A clever and quirky book that is unlike anything I ever read.

This was actually awesome. The whole plot is completely ridiculous and makes no sense whatsoever, but that’s what makes it great. All of the little bits add up nicely and make for an amazing story.

All of the characters were so quirky and entertaining. The story kept introducing new characters and every one of them was very unique and entertaining in their own way.
The book is really funny, not the kind of laugh out loud funny, but really, really clever kind of funny, which is something I always enjoy.
The writing relies itself heavily on irony and sarcasm so throughout there’s this note of the book not taking itself seriously, and I really enjoyed that aspect.

My only complaint about this is that it was too long, so it dragged a bit at certain points.

Overall, really enjoyed this and definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something fun to read.
If you have read this or Jonasson’s other book, please let me know if you liked them!
