I wish I could get ALL of these boxes every month.
We’ve all seen a great number of book subscription boxes pop up in the recent years. They are all over the place and everybody is going crazy for them. Myself included. So I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite book subscription boxes that I’ve discovered. I am obviously in no way affiliated to any of them. I wish I was though, hit me up! Also don’t forget to enter the giveaway here!
Let’s get to it, shall we?
1. Owlcrate
Price: $29.99
Shipping: USA: $6.99 ; Worldwide: $19.99
Let’s start it off easy? I know everyone and their mother has heard of this one, but this was the OG of book subscription boxes. This is the first one that popped up and got popular, and rightfully so. I think their boxes are full of really fun trinkets (which some people dislike, but I love little, silly things like that) and they always include a really, really popular YA release. And they recently launched a Owlcrate Jr. which is a Middle Grade subscriptionbox for younger people (or for yourself, who cares).
2. Fairyloot
Price: £26
Shipping: £3.95 UK ; International varies based on the country
Now Fairyloot is one of my absolute favorites. It’s a monthly subscription box that focuses on YA Fantasy, and I’ve liked every single one of their boxes. All of their stuff is somehow very aesthetically pleasing and caters to my personal tastes really well. As with Owlcrate, you get a bunch of little trinkets, except here they are all Fantasy related, which I just love, since I love Fantasy so much.
3. Muse Monthly
Price: $29.50
Shipping: Calculated by your location
This is one of the top boxes I would get for myself. Muse Monthly is a monthly (yup) book subscription box that pairs up a book and a tea to go along with it, which I think is really cool. Moreover, they focus on Adult Literary Fiction which is my second favorite genre and they have never included a book that I don’t like. Every single time it’s a book I really want to read and you get a tea which is a perfect combo if you ask me.
4. Book of the Month Club
Price: First one is $10 right now, and then $15
Shipping: FREE
This is probably my favorite on the list. Sadly, it is US only. It’s a monthly book subscription box where the only thing you get is the book itself. No extra trinkets. Each month you get to pick between five very different selections across multiple genres, and they always include spectacular books. Definitely check it out.
5. Once Upon a Book Club
Price: $34.99
Shipping: USA: $8.50 ; International: $26.00
This is probably the most unique box out there. Each month you get a book and a selection of beautifully (and I mean beautifully) wrapped items with a corresponding page number that you are meant to open once you reach that page number. I think that’s a brilliant idea and I think it really makes the reading experience special. Also, since you can’t really open the packages before you read the book (I mean you can, but why would you?), chances are that you’ll get to reading immediately. Which is great. They also started a YA box recently!
6. BONUS: Geek Gear World of Wizardry Box
Now this isn’t an actual book subscription since you don’t get any books, but if you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’ll love this. It’s a monthly box filled with Harry Potter items, and it’s amazing. You can pick your house and then get items for your house, or you can mix and match and get everything! It’s so so much fun. In fact, I unboxed two of the boxes on the blog a while ago, so you can see how everything looks HERE and HERE .
So that’s it for this post! Let me know what are some of the boxes you’ve seen and loved, and what are some you’d like to get or have gotten in the past!

Ooh, I have a subscription to BOTM Club! It’s amazing! I think it’s more my style over YA subscription boxes mainly because I can choose the book I want (some YA boxes have books I’m not even interested in) and I just get the book (I don’t really need or use any swag)! 😄

Ah I envy you so much! That’s the one I would get for sure! And yeah some of the swag is really… well, stupid 😂 but sometimes it’s nice to have these little trinkets!

AHHH I want to buy a book subscription so bad! Especially OwlCrate but I cant’ justify spending $20 on shipping just because I live in Canada 😭

Oh actually, Owlcrate’s shipping to Canada is $10.59 if that means anything to you, but I totally get you. International shipping is so expensive and that’s why I can only wish for these instead of actually getting them… 😅

Oh okay, thanks! That actually isn’t too bad! I definitely going to order a box soon!

I’d love Book of the Month Club too but I’m in the UK so we can be sad about that one together 😂

I liked Fairyloot but the first box I got was a total fail in my book. Thinking of Illumicrate. I also like Owlcrate, Shelflovecrate and recently, Faecrate.

Oh really? I enjoyed every single box of theirs I have seen so far. Sorry you did not like yours! Fae Crate has been killing it lately! And Illumicrate’s boxes are gorgeous!
