This month’s favorite things.
November was a really crappy month. It usually tends to be, ever since I started university. Everything seems to catch up to you in November, and it’s been a struggle. However, December is here and I am ready to forget about the horror fest that November was. So let’s talk about some nice things of November!
Favorite Book
I only read one real book in November, which is just all around sad. However, that book was SPECTACULAR. It’s Beartown by Fredrik Backman and it’s so so wonderful. You have to read it. It’s so important and handles difficult topics in such an intelligent and thoughtful way. If you want to know more of my thoughts – the review is HERE. But you have to pick this one up ASAP, trust me.
Favorite Music
As always, here’s a playlist of music I’ve loved this month. I’ve been absolutely in love with Sam Smith and his new album. That voice! His music is so stunning and I am such a huge fan of him as a person. I was also decidedly not into Reputation, until I wasn’t. Taylor Swift music is catchy, and even though I think this is her weakest album ever, some songs have been on repeat. Oh, and I’ve listened to Havana by Camilla Cabello one too many times.
Favorite Posts
As for my own, it’s been a crappy blogging month, kind of uninspired. So I expressed my frustration in my Blogging Burnout post, and it’s one of my favorite posts I’ve ever done.
As for my wonderful fellow bloggers, they are as inspiring as always:
- Theo @ Reading and Rambling shares a wonderful list of queer books
- Holly @ The Nut Free Nerd talks about fictional women leaders
- Callum @ Callum McLaughlin recommends books with great anti-heroes
- Rachel @ Pace, Amore, Libri talks about her problematic faves (plus discusses how we use the word problematic far too often)
- Shanah @ Bionic Bookworm shares some blogging advice
- Mandy @ Book Princess Reviews talks about rereading guilt
- Elise @ The Bookish Actress shares her favorite movies
- Janel @ Keeper of Pages reviews The Innocent Wife
- Aentee @ Read at Midnight reviews The Beginning of the World in the Middle of the Night

I spend a lot of time on Youtube, and when I don’t have time to watch tv shows (like I didn’t in November), I turn to Youtube. So I wanted to share a thing I stumbled upon. There’s this series on a channel called The Skin Deep I found that explores modern relationships. I have spoken a lot about how I find relationships so fascinating, and the dynamic between to people so interesting. Especially when it comes to modern relationships. So this series was perfect for me, and I really loved it.
Firstly, there’s these two people, their names are Ben and Sidra, and the way they interact and their relationship is just so amazing and inspiring. Check it out HERE. Watch their whole playlist, it’s seriously the best thing ever.
And on the other end of the spectrum – a couple who’s relationship I find very toxic and I find the guy’s behavior so awful. Their names are Lynette and Corey, and you can check it out HERE .

I found a new podcast! Hey YA is a Book Riot podcast (and you know I love those) that focuses on all things YA! From new releases, to old favorites to recommendations based on 90s pop culture (yup!), Hey YA is a wonderful glimpse into the world of Young Adult literature and I’ve been loving it recently. The two hosts are so nice and funny and I really enjoy the way they talk about books and all the topics they pick!
So those are all the things I’ve been loving for the past month! I’d love to hear your favorites of November! Favorite book, movie, show, you name it, I want to know!

Yeees! I’ve read some good books this year, but none of them made me feel like Beartown, so unless a book wows me in December, Beartown is THE one 😁
