Shoutout Sunday

Shoutout Sunday #1 (Reviews, Tags, & More!)

Do I need more features on this blog? It appears so.

So my lovely friend Elise @ The Bookish Actress started doing these a while ago. On Sundays, she talks about some of her favorite posts from the previous week(s). And since I always have too many wonderful posts to talk about in my monthly wrap up, I think it’s cool to start doing these more often. So here’s some post I’ve loved in the past week-ish.

Don’t forget to do yourself a favor and follow Elise! Do it!

reviewsJanel @ Keeper of Pages reviews Children of Blood and Bone, and even though she complains about romance, it’s still a fantastic review.

Rachel @ Pace, Amore, Libri writes the best reviews ever, and this one of The Idiot by Elif Batuman is no different.

Melanie @ Mel to the Any reviews both A Thousand Beginnings and Endings and Filthy Gods. Very different books, but VERY good reviews.

Lu @ It’s Lu Again reviews Autoboyography, and it’s one of the most engaging reviews ever.

discussionsEllyn @ Allonsythornraxx talks about why she doesn’t like reading about her disability in books.

Holly @ Nut Free Nerd does another Feminist Friday post, and I love all of them!

tagsElise @ The Bookish Actress does the End of the Year tag… in May! We all love a rebel.

Etinosa @ Uwadis does the Unforgettable Bookish Memories tag and it’s super fun.

Melanie @ Mel to the Any does The Sims Book Tag and as a certified Sims fan, I approve.

otherMandy @ Book Princess Reviews talks about how YA books lied to her and it’s so funny because it’s true.

Shanah @ The Bionic Bookworm compares her First Impressions of books to her final rating.

And those are some posts I loved recently! Let me know if you have any favorite book community posts and please follow all of the lovely people mentioned above!

  3. Haha, I do like a good romance complaint! Surprisingly, one of the things I did like about Six of Crows was the subtle hints at romance re. Kaz and Inej – why can’t everyone write it in that understated way, lol!

    1. I am triggered again by mention of you not liking SoC 😂 I adore Kaz and Inej’s relationship, although I think it’s understated only for them, they’re the only ones oblivious about it 😂 Ugh how did you not like it, I can’t deaaal 😂

      1. Understated in the way it was written, she wasn’t oogling at his chiselled body and dreamy murderous eyes every 5 minutes, haha! Don’t panic, If I don’t like The Raven Boys, then you’re allowed to cry, haha!
