Time to share the blogging love.
As you all know, I always do shoutouts in my monthly favorites, but I thought it was only time to make a list of all of my favorite blogs and bloggers and then just shout at you to follow them. I find that with blogging, the best way to learn and grow as a blog is to read other blogs. Whenever I am lacking inspiration, I turn to these people’s wonderful content and I try to channel my inner (insert blogger name) and write a posts as amazing as theirs are. My point is – when it comes to blogging, other bloggers and interacting with them is a must (as I spoke in my blogging tips). So here are blogs (and bloggers), I love and adore and who inspire me with their content (click the blog names to go follow them!)
You all know how much I love Janel’s blog. I talk about it constantly. The weird thing is that we have such vastly different reading tastes (for example, Janel disliked Six of Crows which means she is crazy, BUT OKAY), but she makes me want to read every single book she talks about. She has a way of structuring her thoughts so precisely and concisely, but still manages to convey all of her feelings really well. I really love how her blog looks, because it totally fits her elegant aesthetic and I just love everything about it (I especially like her graphics hehe). Moreover, you should follow her Instagram, because she posts simplistic, elegant, gorgeous photos (with pretty fake plants) BUT more importantly, she posts desserts to her stories. Janel has been really supportive of my blog since the beginning and I really appreciate it and she’s one of the best people I met through blogging, so you should follow her immediately.
I have said this on numerous occasions, but I love Elise and her blog a lot. I am constantly amazed by how eloquent and well spoken (or written) Elise is. She is significantly younger than me and I can tell you that I wasn’t nearly as smart or insightful when I was teen. Elise talks about diverse YA books and also handles a lot of important topics. I also absolutely adore her more personal bookish posts and find that which ever topic she handles on her blog, she manages to make me interested and I always find myself bookmarking all of her posts. She is very critical and loves to deconstruct books (and other media) and I really love that about her. Also, following Elise on Twitter is a must, since she makes PURE QUALITY threads. Moreover, meeting Elise lead me to meeting other bloggers and Twitter friends, and I will always be grateful for that. So again, if you aren’t following her blog yet, what are you even doing with your life?
Rachel reads the exact kind of literary fiction I enjoy. While I am all over the place with my reading taste, I do LOVE literary fiction, and Rachel does too. I absolutely love her reviews, especially the negative ones (since I am just that person) and I haven’t come across a post of hers that didn’t immediately interest me. She is very opinionated and knows how to get her thoughts across really well. Plus, I find that she is a very critical reader in a way that I really enjoy. Rachel is one of those bloggers that has a nuanced opinion on books and literature in general, which is something I find is something lacking in the community. And since I follow a lot of YA blogs, Rachel’s blog is always a refreshment and something new and different on my feed, which I really appreciate. Also, we both love A Little Life which is super important. Please make sure you’re following her blog ASAP.
I swear to you, Melanie is the nicest person ever. She has such a bubbly and wonderful personality, and I always love interacting with her online, because she is just SO nice. Her blog is one of my absolute favorites, because she writes these detailed reviews which I always love. No matter the book she’s reviewing, I am there and I always love the review. We have a pretty similar taste in books, so I really trust her opinion and I can confidently pick up something she recommends and be sure I’ll love it. Also, following Melanie on Instagram is a must, since she has the BEST stories out there, and whenever I am in need of a pick me up, I go and watch her unbox something on there and I instantly feel better. She just has that kind of effect. Also, Melanie plays video games and I love watching her talk about those too. SO yeah, go watch an Instagram story from Melanie and then proceed to follow her everywhere (not literally, though, that’s creepy).
Jenna is one of the nicest people I met through blogging. I love her blog a lot and I love talking about books with her. If you want to follow a blog which is aesthetically pleasing, then Jenna is your girl. I love the way she structures her post and the overall look her blog has. It’s so pretty and delicate, and that adds a whole other dimension to her blog. I also really love her bookstagram, and I love following her there as well. She talks about a variety of books and there’s a good mix of a lot of different stuff on her blog, so I feel like she has a very versatile blog which can appeal to a lot of people with a lot of different reading tastes. Plus, she is super nice and wonderful, so there’s zero reason for you not to follow her immediately.
You know when you just love somebody’s personality? Well, I love Malanie’s. She has such a wonderful presence and that really comes across in her posts. I feel like they are always structured in a way that makes it seem you’re having a conversation with her. She has a completely different style of blogging than I do, but that’s exactly why I love her blog. She uses gifs in her reviews and makes them so fun and engaging. I think each and every one of her posts really engages the reader and makes you want to start a conversation. Moreover, she has been so supportive of my blog and I love seeing her comments pop up and she is such a sweetheart so please follow her blog!
And those are five of my absolute favorite blogs and bloggers. This post will now be going to my about page, so you can see who inspires my blogging. Hope you enjoyed, and be sure to leave me blogger recommendations in the comments!
