Book Blogger Awards 2019

Finally, I get to gush about my favorite people.

It’s time to nominate people for the annual Book Blogging Awards and I am so excited! This was originally by Write Through the Night but now it has passed on to the most lovely human being on the internet – May @ Forever and Everly! May is one of the most amazing people on this platform and I really hope all of you are following her! She has amazing posts and is just generally such a lovely person! And she is so kindly handling and hosting this for us!

Also, I might miss out on some people and I swear it’s not because I don’t love you – I DO! But it’s hard to think of people on the spot and it’s hard to narrow down these choices. So forgive me, you’re all so wonderful and valid and I love you all!

You can find all the information in May’s post (which I highly encourage you to check out) but in general, the first round is going until July 20th and you have different categories to nominate people for, as you will see down below. I think this is a great opportunity to share the love and acknowledge your favorite blogs, so let’s jump into it! Also, keep in mind that I don’t have nominations for every category because I am the worst.

Best Pre-Teen/Teen Blogger

First category and we start off with a bang – Taasia @ Librae Paints Pages ! I love her blog a lot and I think she is so good at promoting other teen bloggers in the community and generally discussing the place and importance of teens in the community. Highly recommend her blog (as I do all the rest!)

Best Adult Blogger

An absolute favorite of mine and everyone else in the community – Melanie @ Mel to the Any! Genuinely one of the best people that this community has, on all fronts – her content is amazing but on top of that she is just constantly kind and wonderful to everyone and she deserves the world, honestly.

General Adult

I love Hannah’s @ I Have Thoughts on Books blog so much! She reads mainly Literary Fiction, but she’s been reading Romance lately and I really enjoy the way she talks about books. She is so well articulated and I am always interested in whatever she has to say, no matter what books she’s talking about.

Literary Fiction

It’s so hard not to nominate Rachel @ Pace, Amore, Libri for every category, but I think this nomination makes the most sense. I love Rachel’s reviews a lot, and I think she has such a wonderful taste in books, and tends to like the same type of literary fiction I enjoy. She is also just wonderful and one of my absolute favorite bloggers so please follow her immediately.

Mystery/Thriller

Okay, I am going to nominate Janel @ Keeper of Pages for this one. While she isn’t exclusively a thriller blogger, I think she is definitely one of the only people that can make me interested in any book, and especially in thrillers. I generally avoid thrillers and have little interest in them, but Janel ALWAYS makes me want to pick them up. Plus, she is one of the best people on wordpress.com, so definitely worth your time!

Best Book Reviews

Chaima @ Runaway With Dream Thieves has the best reviews ever! They’re always so engaging but also very informative and she has a really strong voice that comes through her reviews, which I love!

Also, I have to mention Rachel @ Pace, Amore, Libri here as well! I just love her reviews so much and I wish I can review books like she does.

Best Book Recommendations

I have to do a repeat here as well BUT Melanie @ Mel to the Any is someone who I trust completely when it comes to recommendations. I feel like we have a similar taste in books, which just leads to her recommendations always fitting well for me too!

Best Discussion Posts

May @ Forever and Everly! I honestly love May and just like every one of her discussion posts about blogging or advice or just general rambly posts are my absolute favorites. I love them so much and May is just so good at articulating her thoughts. Plus, her posts always are a little longer, which is why I always love them so much!

Best Blog Aesthetic

It’s very hard to nominate anyone else than the people behind The Quiet Pond! Just go check out this blog and you’ll understand – I love the concept so much, the art is so cute and adorable and I am obsessed. Plus the content is also very good!

Best Blogging/Writing Voice

ELISE @ THE BOOKISH ACTRESS! It is well known that I am the number one Elise stan but how can I not be? She is amazing, and the way she writes continues to amaze me on a regular basis. I think Elise has a really strong voice and her personality shines through every single one of her posts, but on top of that, she is just a great writer and I love her. That is all.

Most Engaged in the Community

Cam @ Camillea Reads! I love Cam and her blog, and I always look forward to her comments in my notifications! She is always boosting other people and talks about her fave blogs and she is just overall lovely!

Best at Promoting Diverse Books

I think Fadwa @ Word Wonders is so amazing at lifting up diverse voices and books and I just love her blog (and booktube!) so much! I always look forward to seeing her posts in my feed and like, Fadwa’s awesome. She just is.

Best Small Book Blogger (under 1000 followers)

Of course I have to nominate Hannah @ Ink and Myths and Jenna @ Bookmark Your Thoughts! Both of them are some of my best bookish friends in this community and I love and adore their blogs and other media (like Bookstagram) SO MUCH. Lovely, wonderful people whom you should follow IMMEDIATELY!

Best Overall Blogger
